The soundtrack's the star in new Dark Knight Rises trailer
The new trailer reveals a couple more lines and a bit more Bane. But for my money, the standout is the stunning audio composition of Hans Zimmer.
"I'm not afraid, I'm angry," says Bruce Wayne in the new trailer, which seems to have surfaced as part of a deal between Dark Knight Rises distributor Warner Bros and Nokia. I also love Bane's "Mr Wayne" line that occurs immediately before the masked villain seemingly 'defeats' Batman. The frame where he easily catches bats punch is awesome.
But like I said, just listen to that audio. Hans Zimmer is the most wanted composer in movies right now and you can see why - those sonic layers are adding all kinds of intrigue to this otherwise largely familiar looking collection of footage, particularly from Joseph Gordon-Levitt's 'I don't know' at 0.24. Beautiful.
