The Bafta nominations 2013, revealed on Wednesday morning, included strong showings for Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty and Les Misérables. See the full list of nominations below.
Django Unchained missed out on a Best Film nomination and Leonardo DiCaprio missed out on the Best Supporting Actor nomination many had expected. However 2011 Oscar winner Christoph Waltz is nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
Skyfall was also notably absent from the Best Film nominations list and Daniel Craig does not appear, thought there were nominations for Judi Dench and Javier Bardem in the supporting actor categories and a further six nominations in the minor categories for Bond 23.

Interesting, some of the films nominated have not even been seen over here, so how can they be nominated for British Academy of Film and Theatre Awards?

Considering that the Taliban murdered nine and seriously wounded another eight health workers on a polio vaccination program because the CIA used a fake polio vaccination program as a cover to gather information to identify Bin Laden before killing him, I don't think we should be rewarding a smug film about the operation by considering a Bafta for Zero Dark. Nor should the CIA be so smug about their dimwitted, poorly thought out approaches in an area of the world that is so dangerous for local people, when they themselves can just go home to the US, safely away from the fallout of their actions.
Instead, the CIA and Obama should be apologising to the relatives of these health workers for acting so carelessly with their lives.

I'm suprised that there is no award for skyfall bond's latest film - its the best and the bond films get better all the time. Bond deserves Bafta award.

I really hope Les Mis gets nothing for the really awful soundtrack, really did everyone die before singing ? Is 2013 really going to be this depressing musically just listen to Bowie's new single its all just so really disturbing that we need to listen to duuurge!
Whatever happened to don't worry be happy, we brits used to write some fun songs have we really lost our touch?
