Bruce Willis mocks Twilight
Bruce Willis has apparently found great humour in the reaction of Twilight fans to the Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson cheating saga.
During an appearance on US telly's Late Show with David Letterman, he hyped what everyone thought would be an introduction to his latest film, A Good Day to Die Hard.
The Hollywood star called the clip that was about to play: "a pretty emotional scene." Said clip showed Bruce Willis in character as Die Hard's John McClane (complete with bloody, ripped vest), saying he needed more time to complete a task because he'd been "a little distracted lately."
His voice cracking with emotion, Willis - as John McClane - shouted: "It's Twilight! Bella and Edward, they broke up! They're supposed to be together forever, goddammit!". He then holds up an issue of a magazine which had splashed Kristen Stewart's scandalous cheating on the cover.
The spoof clip ended with the credit: 'Twi-Hard: With a Vengeance' and McClane is seen crying as he struggles to say: "Yippee-ki-yay", one of the most famous Die Hard phrases.
The Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart saga (she had an affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders) has inspired various spoofs, and Bruce Willis' is the latest.
