Every moron who shoots lots of people, gets LOADS of airtime & the attention they so desperately wanted. 

Their faces shouldn't be shown & their names should NEVER be mentioned. 

The focus of news stories need to be about the victims & their families, whilst the lunatic is UNmentioned & forgotten.

When attention starved lunatics realise they won't get 15minutes of 'fame' by carrying out these acts; the frequency of these events will drastically decrease.

Even after this the americans wil not surrender  the right to bear arms, so the slayings will carry on, you just can't fix stupid

Lived there for 5 yrs, and carrying guns is acceptable in most states, they have the mentality that i should carry a gun for self defense,,,,,,,,,,,,,​,,,,is this 1872 or 2012?. and they call this the American dream give me a break, i was glad to get back to the uk after  that.

Its the most backward country iv ever been to, the things you see on tv are for the rich and for every rich yank there are 2000 in poverty, so the killlings go on day by day, take chicago, upto 50 killings a month on a bad week and thats just one city!

When will they ever learn? not in my lifetime, rip for those who perished,  a waste of life !

the right to bear arms was introduced as a 2nd amendment so the citizens could defend the usa from attack, as at that time usa didnt have an army, its now about time it was repealed

When are the American people going to wise up and stop people owning / buying guns, It's a joke. Don't use that old garbage about the American constitution, Just change it. When is an American president / govenment going to have the guts to do somthing, and the American people have the sense to back him / them and vote in favour. Don't just wring your hands in horror and say prayers, that won't make a dlind bit of differance. To all those belivers.

The American's insistence and misguided loyalty to the Constitution and in particular, the parts of it that are most convenient to follow when it suits needs a serious overhaul. Yes the Constitution is an important statement for an individual's human rights. But maybe they should take a more phylosophical view and treat them as guidelines instead of Biblical style rules.

The time has come for America to realise that their culture of gun ownership is out of control and needs to be addressed. Guns should be owned by members of law enforcement and the military period. Sporting guns should be kept in clubs under lock and key period.

Until the message gets through that the American way of life is responsible for the unnecessary death toll on the streets, then it is never going to stop.
