#2 - Jaws – ‘You're gonna need a bigger boat’
The late Roy Scheider lives eternally in this perfect one-liner. 10.9% of the voters in Universal's poll thought this was the best scene.

this is pap...what about the" freedom"speach in braveheart,or the travis bickle"are you talking to me" speech in taxi driver?not to mention,yippee kay aye die hard,gone with the wind"frankly i dont give a damn......
I don't take any interest in which studio made whatever film I'm watching, and I've got no doubt it wasn't made by universal. My fave line of all time is
"YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF!!!!!!"
(No prizes given for the film title
)
Oh so much rubbish. Why not the fight with the charioteers in Gladiator. Or for that matter why gladiator at all, why not the Taxi Driver "are you looking at me?" scene ?
On a different note, what about the scene at the Norwegian base in "John Carpenter's The Thing" ?
Real problem is, most of the really memorable film scenes were not Universal Pictures - I could come up with about 20 that were more memorable that any of these, from other producers. Stuff like Roy Batty's "Tears in the rain" from bladrunner, or the "it's too bad she won't live. But then again who does?" from the same film. The epic car chase in To live and die in LA. The ending to "the Bucket List". Graham's "Just you and me now, sport" from Manhunter. And of course, "get away from her, you b****" from Aliens."I'll think I'll use the front door" in the Crow. Or T-bird's final speach, "I knew I knew you, I knew I knew you. But you ain't you. You can't be you..." from the same film. Ot the last lines from Dark City. The "pocket watch" gunfight at the end of for a few dollars more.
Or the absolutely wonderful scenes at the end of Once Upon a TIme in the West.
Ah no, I've found one. Unversal Pictures movie that is. What about the "funeral pyre" scene in the bourne supremacy ? For anyone who'd watched that it was pretty memorable. Gorgeous soundtrack, lots of emotion and zero words.
ET bit like george orewell, that many chidren beleaved it, wounderfull, still a tear jerca if youv got empathey.
looking at the list seems the voting was done by one person who has no taste in films
et that moon scene turned a good film in to a so-so one jaws one scene in that and its not the one shown but still a great film gladiator great start after that cr*p and the scene
that stands out is the chained tigers in the arena Why did they not just turn around and
eat the nubian(?) soldiers to kill a mockingbird fantastic film but pedestrian all the way through as for number ten mr grant must of spent a whole night on the computer
come on film buffs get a proper list going
