You know, it's not easy being ginger. Name-calling, freckles, sunburn - these are but three of the problems plaguing young redheads the world over.
But wait, fear no more. This summer, all fair-skinned ginger-nuts can stand side-by-side and herald the coming of Merida, the carrot-topped heroine of Disney-Pixar's upcoming animated adventure Brave, due for release on 17 August.
To celebrate, let's round-up the redheads for a ginger jamboree! Please join us as we look back at the most august of auburn-locked stars, from past to present.

King Henry the 8th, Elizabeth the 1st, Braveheart William Wallis, most of the Vikings, Greta Garbo, Jessica Rabbit, Marilyn Monroe- she was auburn and actually died her hair blonde, Anne Robinson, Maureen O'Hara, Katherine Heburn,Robert Redford, Gillian Anderson, Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon, Molly Ringwald, Isla Fisher,Tilda Swinton, Chuck Norris, Nicole Kidmann,ShirleY McClain, Kate Winslet(rose in Titanic), Mick hucknall, Prince Harry to name just a few. As an old redhead now, but can say truthfully had loads and loads of admirers mostly because of my hair over the years. Was named after Maureen Ohara too. Could never knock it or want more.

Bryce Dallas Howard is an absolutely beautiful redhead nd a great actress but under-used. She is really gorgeous in The Village. I'm surprised Christina Hendricks isn't on the list too.
