Robert Pattinson will walk down the red carpet with estranged girlfriend Kristen Stewart despite his heartbreak over her affair, according to reports.

The Hollywood star has decided to put the split behind him at the premiere of the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn Part II, in November, The Sun said.

R-Patz, 26, and Kristen, 22, have not seen each other since she apologised for her fling with married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, last month.

A source was quoted as saying: "He's told movie bosses he'll walk the red carpet to save her from embarrassment and any female fans booing her.

"He is being professional and taking the higher moral ground."

The global premiere takes place in Los Angeles.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is released on 16 November.
