Seth McFarlane to present The Oscars
Family Guy creator scores the big hosting job. Will he join the great Oscar presenters?

The Oscar hosting job is a big job. Billy Crystal held down the fort last year but he was really only filling in for Eddie Murphy, who disappointingly dropped out.
Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane scored a hit with Ted this Summer. And The Academy appear to be hoping to pull in a younger audience with McFarlane's none-too-gentle sense of humour. Expect laughs and a lot of them, all at Hollywood's expense. McFarlane recently hosted Saturday Night Live with huge success, possible earning The Academy's approval in the process.
