Skyfall is not, despite some doting reviews, without fault. But crikey, it's the prettiest Bond movie of them all if you ask us. Scene after scene will blow you away with big, ambitious and beautiful visuals. Thank you, Sam Mendes and team.

James Bond films are great escapist fun and always a bit tongue in cheek, but my personal favourite spy is Alec Guinness in John le Carre's Smiley TV series. No women, no stunts, no sex scenes, no gorgeous locations, but totally compulsive viewing as Guinness is such a good actor. Dry, obsessive, offhand. And the dialogue is superb Love the Bond films for all their glamour, but prefer the dark stark reality of what a real spy's life is probably like as in the Smiley series..

Not in the least interested in sci-fi. Bond movies are and have been getting over the top for a long time. Dame judi should stay well clear. She is much better than that.
