LucasFilm is sold to Disney and Star Wars will be back in 2015. Here's what we're hoping for.

Although this picture was taken back in 2010, we have a feeling that George Lucas was trying to tell us something!
Nearly ten years on from the last Star Wars film (episode III), following which George Lucas said Star Wars would not return to the big screen, Lucas has sold Lucasfilm (and Star Wars) to Disney. The Mouse House has said the plan is to release a new Star Wars film every two to three years after bringing out Star Wars Episode seven in 2015.
The new Star Wars movies will be episodes VII, VIII and IX, following on from the conclusion of the original Star Wars trilogy in Return Of The Jedi.

'Yoda can't return but perhaps Luke, assuming he returns, will take on the role of the learned Jedi teacher'
You'd hope so as Luke was the only Jedi left alive by the end of episode 6.

Tell you what I would like to see, a series with the grit of the first three not several hours of gutless toy advertising that we had with the most recent offerings.

I'd say get Tim Zahn involved, his original trilogy was in perfect keeping with the style of the first three movies.
Star Destroyer intro for all three, book one ends on a space battle, good guys win. Book two starts with ground assault, good guys get away, ends with good guys barely escaping from empire through sheer dumb luck. Book three ends with massive ground and space battles, the big bad getting killed by his own minion...

As far as i know STAR WARS was going to be a trilogy of 9 films .but the cost was to much.I didnt realy like the last 3 films as the special Effects were to much. but George Lucus had to keep the cost down. I hope that the MILLENIUM FALCON RETURNS. When i saw this spaceship in 1977 i thaught what an awsume ship and the sounds it made. Even though it was in a studio in london. There have been other SC FI Films but STAR WARS WAS and Still is a FAMILY FILM. I hope that what ever the New Film is going to be like it must have tongue and cheek and humer passion excitement and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. something like RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK kind of film. and it is in 3D even better. so fingers crossed .

how exciting!! Disney need to be very careful now how they go forward with this just one thing remember jar jar binks we dont want any more of that thank you.the only way is to get as much feed back from the real fans of star wars as possible and hire directors and screen writers who are fans of it as well so it can be taken to new heights visually.
this could be the best thing to happen or a complete disaster only time will tell

I rather see less computer tricks but more good professional play from the actors as it used to be 20 years ago. What we see nowadays is just computer-graphics and almost not a good acting. more and more the action films start to look like the computer games. More and more I start to wonder why i spent 15 British pounds fora big screen cinema when actually everything is just too stuffed, overdone with computer-generated effects. I rather sit next to my 11 years old son and watch almost the same things on the Playstation (the computer games at home) and it will be a lot cheaper for me.
before the computer-effects amount was carefully balanced with the good actors play. Now - just thousands of fake things and weak acting if any at all.

The novels are set in the Expanded Universe (EU) of the Star Wars galaxy approximately five years after the events depicted in the film Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi."
I'm guessing this...very good books from the 90's.
Unlike the drivel that was new George Lucas ones.

its simple,luke turns to the dark side kills han solo there after laya develops her powers as the last of the jedi remember they r twins so they both have the force.laya is then kills luke in revenge for hannlaya then gives birth to hans twins who then go on to movie 2 i dark side one not lol
