The Wolfpack are back for one last adventure. This time, alas, they forgot to pack any jokes.
The Descendants (27 January)
George Clooney plays a businessman in Hawaii who is forced to care for his two children when their mother is seriously injured in a water-skiing accident. Election man Alexander Payne directs a film that is already attracting serious Oscar buzz.
Hinges on: Not so much gorgeous George as the performance of Shailene Woodley as his rebellious teenage daughter.
Watch it for: The ace music, the garish shirts and Matthew Lillard's surprisingly effective turn as Clooney's romantic rival.

what about all the council houses she let people have for peanuts? Nowadays you won't get a council house unless your a pregnant, teenage, foreign girl (thanks Labour). She had the balls to do what needed to be done. Would love her to come back and clean up the **** hole Britain is today after 13 years of the Labour do-gooders
The Iron Lady,
will be like all world leaders these days just human beings spreading lies to brain wash you brains.
mmmmmm comes out when conservatives are in power,,,,, eeyyyyy how about that.
just ignore mp,s guys and do what you want to do in your life, don,t listen to mp,s they only want to control what you think and you must understand that correctly, they are liers and yet they keep there jobs, if that was you, you would be out on your arse fact.
Meryl Streep's performance in uncannily accurate and worthy of an Oscar, I'm told. Unfortunately the subject matter isn't to my taste personally. On political grounds alone I'm inclined to give it a miss, if for no other reason that this woman's life and career, however important historically, is still a raw memory for millions like me and one that I regard as utterly disasterous to many of the values that I hold dear. She was as universally loathed as much as worshipped. This clearly being a sign of the utter divisiveness of her time in Office.
What makes me cringe in particular is the utter hypocracy of many of those on the Right who conveniently forget, that it was her own Party who ditched her for political expediency, when faced with the stark possibility of electoral defeat in 1992. Of course her biggest negative legacy IMO was the now utterly discredited Premiership of one Anthony Lyndon Blair, who slavishly and again expediently followed many of her policies, much to his and the Labour Party's unabashed shame.
Thatcher was an economic disaster.. Her legacy is bungled rail privatisation, monopoly water companies, the destruction of industry. the expansion of both government and the welfare state as replacements for the private sector that never showed up and along with Tony. Blaire the reliance on the Ponzi scheme that is British banking. No one has yet been able to explain to my why Germany which has stricter labour laws, stronger unions, plus reunification to deal with and after effects of losing WWII ended up with a much stronger economy or why more liberal countries tend to have less crime, better education and infinitely better living standards.
British Politicians and our economic thinkers are all basically thick and unfortunately so is most everyone else. on this moss covered, rain sodden, scruffy little island.
my bull**** and lies then,
how movies show an computer generated world that does not exist and is just a farse.
movies are for to much of an IT culture now, computer chips replacing the actor.
You do know that movies are not at all fact and are not at all any way shape or form to what actually happens on the earth.
The only reason rihana got this part is because she is sexy as hell, yeh she may have a singing quality, its just shows how greedy singers are nowadays. They get massive attention and just like football stars per say, whilst me and you get our ****ty regular job of just £13,000 a year, and you claim its a fair world, why do we put up with these idiots and why does no one realy tell the truth anymore, what is wrong with your brains. You cheer them on, by are not recieveing lots and lots and lots of money in your bank account are you, think about that for second, they tons of cash, you get nothing.
Don,t you think its time you got in on the millions of pounds of cash, put your self up the ladder and tell your self you are just as capable as anyone else, i dare you to do it.
too many celebs and footy stars and movie stars earn far far far far far too much money, and beg you to give to the poor, perfectic. If every movie star and actor gave to the poor regularly for the life they have and the cars and there homes and the food they eat everyday and resturants they go to and the contracts they get offered to them, don,t you think its the rich who should pay back a million dollars or pounds each as a made rule of law for the millions they earn every time they land a paying contract for the millions they recieve.
yep they should pay, i think the way singers go on these days is a disgrace. every single movie star mulit million earning per year should be made to pay a million pounds or dollars each to feed the poor for the life they have to which we will neve see or taste and for which we have to just watch a glass screen to see but never taste and that is all you are going to get, whilst they earn millions just like football players, think just to kick a ball about they get millions of pounds, they are not worth that money not by any means. it,s complete lies and corruption in football, and money is madness .
but i still no i am right they and movie stars earn far to much money now.
thatcher did more damage to this country than Hitler she will go down in history as the most hated woman ever in britain , she gave all women a bad name caused all the industrial and economic problems across the world and allowed firms to abuse and rape their staff she holds the world record for putting 13000 men on the dole in one closure , shotton steel works in north wales in the early eighties , she stole milk from children closed hospitals schools most of the uk heavy industry . she made the rich richer and the poor she just forgot about leaving most of the uk to suffer while they looked after them selves down south. . anyone with a morel back bone will not see this film . she tried to destroy scouse land and other major northern cities newcastle leeds etc . she introduced greed and selfishness , with her stupid policy's of self self self. she looked after her mates the bankers allowing them to rape and pillage the the poor and middle class while making billions for them selves . thatcher was anti british and only cared for herself she had no shame and was spineless when it came to dealing with the workers instead of talking she just closed everything down killing of vast areas of the uk economies just because she could not handle the unions , in any other country she would have been a dictator like sadam or gaddafie . she should have been tried in the hague for crimes against humanity and possible ethnic cleansing by her actions on the working class . that was thatcher she did nothing for britain apart from ruin our great country , cameron is now doing exactly the same so be warned it is happening again
They should have made a movie mix twilight / thatcher , as all she did was bleed and suck us all dry . Anyone that lived and was lucky enough to have a job in the eighties will relate to this . Not that it is any better now with the new breed of tory vampire spawn cutting our throats and bleeding us again with their cuts LOL . HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!!!!
Yes lets make a film about a woman who single handedly destroyed communities, all industry in this country and made us a nation of waiters. Well done! She opened the door to the 'ME' society of which Mr Blair was a big part.
As for problems in the North of this country anything that was invented or developed that made any bloody difference was from the North the South just made money out of it..for me they could set up a border south of Birmingham and we could leave them to stew in it. (yes I'm from the north).
