Joss Whedon has signed on to both write and direct the follow-up to Avengers Assemble, also tipped to reach cinemas in 2015. The whole Assemble ensemble is expected to return with the possible exception of Bourne Legacy man Jeremy Renner, whose rather petulant gripes over Hawkeye's 'Terminator' role in the first film might have hurt his chances of a comeback.

Are there just no new good ideas for films in hollywood anymore? Seems to be just remake after remake, most of which bare no resemblance to the original and could be any other film, apart from a cameo role for the original stars in some pointless to the script role.
Looking forward to Bad Santa 2 though.
