Billy Bob Thornton has always been keen to reprise his performance as Willie T Stokes, the alcoholic con-man who was a Santa by day and a robber by night in Terry Zwigoff's 2003 comedy. Now he'll have the chance in a sequel that will probably reach cinemas in time for Christmas 2013. Hot Tub Time Machine helmer Steve Pink directs.

Are there just no new good ideas for films in hollywood anymore? Seems to be just remake after remake, most of which bare no resemblance to the original and could be any other film, apart from a cameo role for the original stars in some pointless to the script role.
Looking forward to Bad Santa 2 though.
