Michael Douglas and Matt Damon wow the Cannes film fest as Liberace and lover.
The Big Year (2 December)
The Big Year (2 December)
Owen Wilson, Jack Black and Steve Martin are three men driven by a obsession and a quest that threatens to consume their lives. They are bird-watchers. As pleasingly eccentric as its bird-nerd heroes, this is probably the gentlest sports comedy ever made.
Perfect for: people who call themselves "birders".

hollywood ran out of originality a long time ago, all they do now is plunder original european cinema for ideas. Even the Coen brothers do it now , what is the world coming to.
To many films seemed to be made using a checklist.
cute annoying child.................................................................check
annoying teenager for that key demographic....................check
ethnic minority in a positive role..........................................check
british villian ............................................................................check
big star in lead role(so suspence lost because we know they wont die).............check
clumsy tacked on romantic interest.....................................check
any possible controversial elements from original book, film, comic removed(lovely bones, let the right one in, his dark materials, the colour purple, hellraiser and many more)....check
This is such an awesome film. The actors are just too good.
Looking forward to girl with dragon tattoo.
there does seem to be a lot of bad script's about. & big acting name's(That you could useally associate with quality) putting there names to movies & appearing in it for a few scenes chaseing the buck. The greedy B'stards not botherd about there Art then. it's just "Show me the money"
some good news though.....no massively overated james cameron film.
Be honest ..does anyone really think titanic was a good film?...Watch the posideon adventure(original version) If you want to see a quality ship disaster film.
Apart from Puss in Boots i can see me not watching any of these films.
Now why can't they show Celebrity Masterchef from previous competitions and to round it off some Foyles War from season 1 to the present.
Now that would make a superb Christmas.
