When JJ Abrams and chums rebooted the cult sci-fi franchise in 2009, we didn't know if they could pull it off. But they did, taking huge risks with a beloved story and setting the familiar characters off on an alternate journey in a parallel universe.
The movie was a smash hit but the filmmakers didn't want to rush out the sequel, due with us on May 17th 2013. Nor did they want to rush out any information, typically keeping plot and character details close to their chests.
But you know what? Actors talk. So do screenwriters. Naughty people take surreptitious shots on set. Occasionally, directors drop hints. And so there are quite a few things we know about the return of the Enterprise...
