The Amazing Spider-Man: new trailer released

There are a few key details revealed in the new trailer. Here are the highlights hidden in the new footage.

0.44 - "Who are you?" The web-slinging shots building up to this encounter look slick and satisfying.

1.03 - Backstory alert! Young Peter Parker is on the trail of his scientist father, incidentally encountering pop's evil half-lizard former partner (Rhys Ifans) and the science behind becoming a spider (man).

1.21 - Some kind of Spidey-sense wrist watch with retro mechanical dials. Is this Spidey 'charging' his Spidey-powers? Either way, we want one.

1.57 - A great shot of The Lizard demonstrating his strength.

2.10 - The quickest flash of what looks like a final battle. It appears we'll be treated to a King Kong-styled climax with The Lizard and Spidey fighting it out against the New York skyline. We then see the two combatants diving underwater where our hero's powers are useless.

2.25 - Wowsers! The trailer was withheld on the big CG action set pieces until this point. A skyscraper collapses as Spidey clings on for dear life.
