err hawkeye is in avengers, ant man etc were in the later avengers comics ( film based on comics not tv show) like vision..man people today, look before you leap

Can we all get a grip, love to see you all try to compress roughly 70yrs worth of comic book writing into a two hour film, so Ant Man and Wasp don't make an appearance, sometimes less is more, remember Spider Man 3 anyone, as for the first Avengers comic, Midtown Comics NYC has a copy, viewing is by appointment only!

For the benefit of the peron who made the second comment Capt is the official abbreviation of Captain. Ask any old soldier or sailor. I would like to know when the Yanks hijacked this one? They didn't study the old scripts very well. They are using three comic book characters to dip the work that one man and a woman did in our original series .

Really looking forward to this.
Regardless of any anomalies, that mean it may not be exactly as the comic books/tv show, just like when film makers make adaptations from novels, unfortunately they will never be as good or as accurate to the plot.
Movies would be far too long and drawn out if they were exactly accurate, which is a shame, but we all have to deal with it :P

Piers, I thought Ant Man and Wasp were in the original? I once saw a copy of what I thought was the first Avengers Comic with the two of them in them? The later biography of Ant Man (Apparently now known as the Yellow Jacket), which said he wasa founding member but left later on. Hawk Eye joined when he renounced his life of crime and was sponsered by Iron Man?
If I'm wrong, what really happened?

I loved all the Marvels and am droolingly awaiting this one!
Regardless of when they joined, I'd still have liked them to add Wasp, Ant Man and the Black Panther to the squad. Afterall, they can't do the Ultron story without at least having Ant Man.
Fingers crossed, let's hope for an appearence in Avengers 2.
And Devon, Hawkeye did join the Avengers after the Gamma World incident, if you're referring to the cartoon series.

When I saw Scarlett Johansson in a leather catsuit I thought she was playing Emma Peel in a remake of the 1960s cult TV series. I would definitely go and see that.
