The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be setting out in December and anyone who's read The Hobbit will know there are a lot of characters to get to know.
A total of 13 Dwarves, one of whom - Gloin - is the father of Gimli from LOTR, join Bilbo and Gandalf when they set out on their adventure from Hobbiton in the new adaptation. And Peter Jackson wants us to get familiar with our new heroes so he's released this spectacular new collection of pics.

Is it just me, but they don't look like Dwarves at all (whereas in LOTR, Gimli at least looked like a dwarf)

This will no doubt be movie of the year, and a nice treat in the run up to Christmas. I hope the soundtrack is as brilliant as it was in Lord of the Rings.
