The Lucky One: movie trailer

Zac Efron has gone all muscly and marine sergeant for his new romance The Lucky One. The new trailer is exclusively here on MSN.

Yes, this teen star has put himself in for some 'proper' acting, taking on a script in which he not only plays a grown-up but an actual war veteran as well. Challenging stuff.

We're looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the trailer. Please comment below. Here's what we noticed:

0.26: That's a High School Musical star getting whacked round the face by some rocks. They grow up so fast!

1.16: "Well that's as clean as it'll ever be." And the award for best washing-up innuendo goes to...

1.36: "You should do as she says." Oooohhh!! Fair play to Zac, he's legitimately a fairly tough guy, especially with the new muscles.

U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive -- a photograph he found of a woman he doesn't even know. Learning her name is Beth (Taylor Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

The Lucky One is released on 4 May 2012.
