Kitsch: I can't watch John Carter

Taylor Kitsch has confessed he can't watch any of the special effects that have been filmed on John Carter Of Mars, as he doesn't like watching himself.

The Friday Night Lights hunk and star of X-Men Origins: Wolverine plays hero John Carter in Wall-E and Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton's first feature film, but doesn't know what it will look like on the big screen.

Taylor told New York Magazine's Vulture blog: "He's got a good chunk of minutes cut, but I just won't watch it until it's done.

"They want me to watch it, but I need to wait a bit... It's hard watching myself, so I just gotta trust that they're killing it in post. "

The 30-year-old actor is also starring in new movies Battleship with Rihanna and Oliver Stone's Savages, for which he is really excited to be shadowing real Navy Seals as part of his research.

Taylor said: "It's going to be raw as f***, man; it's Oliver Stone. I'm playing Sean, the Navy Seal who's come back from Iraq and Afghanistan, and is quite jaded, to say the least.

"I'm just excited to go shadow these Navy Seal cats in San Diego and just really get into it."
