Blanchard recovering from Broadway

Tammy Blanchard was left exhausted by Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business
Tammy Blanchard has revealed starring in Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business made her feel old.
The 35-year-old star of The Big C loved working on the stage show, which co-starred Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, but admitted it was very hard work.
Tammy said:" My body doesn't hurt and that's a good thing. I thought I was so much older than I am. Now that I'm not doing the show any more, I feel more energetic. I'm not so tired.
"I have a schedule with family and friends. It's just a blessing. It was a jolt at first not having things to do every day and not having somewhere to go and do what I love every day, which is act. But I have my little girl - my beautiful four-year-old gorgeous girl - and I get to pay attention to her and spend time with her and my family, so it's good.
"But I've got to get back into it right away. I love acting so much that I have to have that as much as I have to have my time with my kid."
Tammy stars with Mira Sorvino in new movie Union Square, about two sisters who have become estranged after a tumultuous upbringing in the Bronx.
Tammy's character has fled to Manhattan's Union Square, where she pretends she's from Maine and lives the life of a health fanatic. Her chain-smoking sister arrives on her doorstep and throws her life on its head.
The actress revealed: "It's hard for me to see myself so uptight and so against family. It's so opposite of everything I am. And organic? I like a good cheeseburger."
