Clarke's cake-inspired coaching
Noel Clarke plays a sports coach in his latest film Fast Girls
Noel Clarke has revealed how he would dangle sweet treats teasingly in front of his Fast Girls co-stars - while they were trying to cut down on the calories.
Lenora Crichlow, Lily James, Lashana Lynch, Dominique Tipper and Lorraine Burroughs had to endure a strict regime to prepare for their roles as a British sprint relay team in the sports drama, which was co-written by Noel.
The British actor, who also plays the girls' coach, joked: "They did all the hard physical stuff. Seeing them on their strict diet and doing all this training, my most difficult choice was choosing between the red velvet cupcake and the Krispy Kreme doughnut to the side, and which one I would tease them with the most.
"I think I went for the red velvet cupcake in the end. It was so good!" he added.
Noel said he loved working with the girls.
"They didn't gang up on me, they love me. I love them. [I'd be like] 'Do some sit-ups and run faster!'" he quipped.
He also revealed how he had a say in the girls' sports outfits.
"I chose those myself. They were let off because the pants that they wore were actually bigger than the usual standard ones, so the costume guy was kind to them."
:: Fast Girls opens in cinemas on June 15.
