Tom Cruise is attached to star in a new movie about vampire hunter Van Helsing.
The Mission Impossible star is tipped to play the title character in the reboot and he is also set to produce.
The project comes as one of the first films in a first-look production deal between Universal and writer/producer team Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, reports Deadline.
The Van Helsing character has appeared on-screen several times, notably in Stephen Sommers' 2004 film starring Hugh Jackman.
Tom, 49, has several movies in the pipeline, including sci-fi films All You Need Is Kill and Oblivion. It has also been reported that a Top Gun sequel is officially in development.
