Damon's hairy Zero Theorem drama

Matt Damon is set to reunite with Brothers Grimm director Terry Gilliam on The Zero Theorem.

The Bourne star revealed that he has to don a wig after being offered "a small part" in the upcoming sci-fi adventure alongside Christoph Waltz, Tilda Swinton, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Melanie Thierry.

"I'm just doing a very small part in it. I'm going to do three days with Terry Gilliam, and now that I have to shave my head. I need a wig for Terry's movie," he told Vulture.

Christoph is to star as eccentric computer genius Qohen Leth, who is bent on discovering the purpose of life through a mysterious project.

Matt admitted that he jumped at the part, and has already spoken to the Monty Python star about hair styles.

"I'd do anything for Terry. It's been ten years since I last worked with him," he said.

"I wrote Terry this whole e-mail, because we had this whole conversation about what the character would look like, because the story takes place in the future, but he had a specific look that he wanted...

"He said, 'Actually, we can take advantage of the fact that your head is shaved. Why don't we change your hairline?' So he mocked up a picture and sent me a real receding hairline, with white spiked hair."

The Zero Theorem is scheduled to start shooting in October.

Meanwhile, Matt insisted that he has no plans to reprise his role in future Bourne films: "There has not been any movement. I've always been open to it as long as Paul Greengrass directs, I don't think he's going to do it."
