Dan Aykroyd joins Liberace biopic

Dan Aykroyd has apparently joined the cast of the Liberace biopic.

The Ghostbusters star is rumoured to play the entertainer's long-term manager Seymour Heller in Steven Soderbergh's Behind The Candelabra, reported Variety.

Michael Douglas has been cast as the flamboyant musician, while Matt Damon is to portray his live-in lover Scott Thorson.

Dan's character Seymour disapproved of Liberace's relationship with Scott.

Behind The Candelabra, which has been written by Richard LaGravenese and has been revealed to be Steven's final feature film, is scheduled to start shooting this summer.

It is set to premiere on HBO in the States before an international release.

Dan - who lent his vocal talent to Yogi Bear - will next be seen in political comedy The Campaign alongside Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis.
