Diaz: I had plans for motherhood

Cameron Diaz stars in new film What To Expect When You're Expecting
Cameron Diaz has revealed she thought she would be a wife and mum by the age of 21.
But the American actress, who next stars in romantic comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting, decided to put her career ahead of motherhood.
"I thought I was going to be married and have two children by the time I was 21. I think I felt I had to model my life after my mother's," the 39-year-old told US magazine Redbook.
"But then my career was starting to take off and there were still so many things I wanted to do. So that dream for me was shattered early on. After that I never put another timeline on anything in my life."
Her co-star Elizabeth Banks - who welcomed son Felix in 2011 via a surrogate - admitted that being a mum has changed her life.
"I think the thing you always hear - but can't really feel or believe - is how this little baby really does change your life," said the 38-year-old.
"When you have children, it's the entire focus of your life, but my capacity for joy has been opened up in a way I never thought possible."
Jennifer Lopez - who also stars in the movie, based on the best-selling pregnancy manual - admitted first-time motherhood was quite nervewracking after she gave birth to twins Max and Emme four years ago.
"I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn't love me," recalled the 42-year-old.
