Douglas working on Spartacus e-book

Kirk Douglas is releasing an e-book next month
Kirk Douglas is working on an e-book at the age of 95.
The legendary actor has an e-memoir about his epic film Spartacus coming out in June.
Titled I Am Spartacus! Making A Film, Breaking The Blacklist, the book tells about the Roman epic, which came out in 1960 and helped break Hollywood's ban against suspected Communists.
Douglas, who both starred in Spartacus and helped produce it, reveals that Dalton Trumbo wrote the screenplay after working throughout the 1950s under assumed names because he was blacklisted in Hollywood.
Trumbo was one of a group of people in the entertainment industry who were barred from work on the basis of their alleged membership or sympathy toward the Communist Party.
The book includes a foreword by George Clooney.
It is being released by Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher that announced the deal. An audio edition will be narrated by Douglas' actor son Michael Douglas.
