Elijah Wood becomes a Late Bloomer

Elijah Wood is teaming back up with Wilfred director Randall Einhorn on his new film
Elijah Wood has taken on the lead role in upcoming indie comedy The Late Bloomer.
Variety reports that director Randall Einhorn has enlisted The Hobbit star to play a man who discovers he didn't go through puberty properly because of a medical problem.
The pair have worked together on the dark comedy TV series Wilfred, which follows a young man (played by Elijah) and his friendship with a neighbour's dog.
The Late Bloomer is based on Ken Baker's 2001 memoir Man Made: A Memoir Of My Body.
"The combination of Einhorn and Wood is exceptional, as we've seen with the success of Wilfred. I know that they will honour Baker's true story in a very entertaining way," executive producer Maggie Monteith said.
