Emma Stone sees red at Judd Apatow

Emma Stone has joked she was cursed with red hair by producer and director Judd Apatow.

The Amazing Spider-Man star revealed on the Late Night Show she is a natural blonde but dyed her hair red to star in Judd's movie Superbad, and then couldn't go back.

Emma said: "Everything I auditioned for after that they were like 'Let's keep it red', 'How about a different shade of red?' I was like 'Maybe we could be blonde?' and they were like 'Or red!'."

The Knocked Up director was in the audience and told Emma: "I'm sorry. I still like it better red."

The Zombieland star added sarcastically: "Thank you Judd - for everything!"

Emma is delighted to be back to her natural hair colour for the role of Gwen in new superhero movie The Amazing Spider-Man, co-starring her rumoured boyfriend Andrew Garfield.

She said previously: "I went and did hair tests, because I have blonde hair now since Gwen has blonde hair. My natural hair is blonde, so it's kind of nice. I looked in the mirror and said, 'Oh my god, it's me again, it's been so long!'"
