Elle Fanning has joined the cast of Olive's Ocean.
The actress will take the lead role in the film adaptation of the Kevin Henkes novel, about a girl who learns that a classmate who died in an accident had hoped to be her friend, Deadline reports.
Elle apparently landed the role after meeting producer Donald Rosenfeld on the set of her big sister Dakota's film Effie.
Donald asked Elle what her favourite book was, and she replied Olive's Ocean.
"I haven't worked with a more dedicated actor than Dakota and can't wait to work with Elle," the producer said.
"There is such talent, they are young but they are old souls."
