Foxx to have a White House reunion

Garcelle Beauvais will be reunited with Jamie Foxx for new movie White House Down.

The pair played a couple for five years in US sitcom The Jamie Foxx Show and will play husband and wife in the upcoming action thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jamie will play the President of the United States and Garcelle will be his First Lady in the film which sees the White House being held hostage.

Channing Tatum, Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Woods will play Secret Service agents defending the president, and Richard Jenkins has been cast as Speaker of the House.

Joey King, who appeared in The Dark Knight Rises, will play Channing's character's daughter, who ends up being taken captive during the siege.

The film is scripted by James Vanderbilt and will be directed by Roland Emmerich.

Garcelle will next be seen opposite Denzel Washington in action movie Flight, directed by Robert Zemeckis, which opens in the autumn.
