Andrew Garfield is ready to swing back into the Spider-Man sequel
Andrew Garfield has officially signed up for a Spider-Man sequel.
The British actor is set to reprise the role of the web-slinger, who he played in this year's The Amazing Spider-Man, in a sequel, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Director Marc Webb is also set to return and actress Emma Stone, who Andrew is reportedly dating in real life, is in talks to reprise her role in the follow-up.
Columbia president Doug Belgrad said: "We could not be more confident in the direction we are taking this new Spider-Man storyline, and we are tremendously excited to be ramping up production again with Marc at the helm and Andrew continuing on as Peter Parker."
The Spider-Man sequel is expected to be released in 2014.
This year's film topped the box office in both the US and the UK when it was released this summer.
