Hangover III cast gets new recruit

British actor Jonny Coyne is joining Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis for The Hangover III.

The star, who recently appeared in US TV series Alacatraz, will appear in the third instalment of the hit comedy, Variety reported.

Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, with the release date expected to be next May.

Bradley, Ed and Zach will reprise their roles as party-loving pals who end up in awkward situations. The first film saw the group go wild on a stag do in Las Vegas, while the sequel took them on a hedonistic trip to Thailand.

Todd Phillips is back to direct the third film.

Jonny can next be seen in Gangster Squad alongside Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
