John Cusack gets Walk of Fame star

John Cusack was joined by his friends and former co-stars as he celebrated getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Raven star was joined by his actress sister Joan Cusack as well as his High Fidelity co-star Jack Black, Pushing Tin's Billy Bob Thornton and Dan Ackroyd, who starred with him in Grosse Point Blank.

John, 45, looked delighted as he unveiled his star and said it was the people he had worked with that had kept him acting for the last 30 years.

He said: "I love working with actors, I love being around them, they're such great spirits.

"To the best of my knowledge, I've tried to screw my career up as much as I possibly could, but even with all my best efforts to screw it up, I managed to have lasting friendships, and some of the best friends I've ever met in the business."

His sister Joan, 49, said: "There's magic in him. Who knows where it came from? Passion for what he does.

"I think he himself is part It's A Wonderful Life, part Dr Strangelove and part Charlie Brown's Christmas."
