Jolie eyeing up Counsellor cameo?

Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be in talks for a "small part" in The Counsellor.

The Salt star is apparently eyeing up an appearance in Ridley Scott's planned thriller, which her partner Brad Pitt is also in talks to join, reported Vulture.

Michael Fassbender is already signed on to star as a respected lawyer who dabbles in the drug business in his second reunion with the filmmaker following Prometheus.

Jeremy Renner and Javier Bardem are both still in the running to portray the baddie.

Natalie Portman is in "early discussions" to appear in the film, which has been described as "No Country For Old Men on steroids" and is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy.

Production on The Counsellor is set to begin in June.

Angelina, who last starred in The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp and reprised her animated character in Kung Fu Panda 2, has been focusing on her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood And Honey.

She will next take the lead in Tim Burton's Maleficent, based on the Disney villainess.
