Julianne Moore joins Carrie reboot

Julianne Moore has reportedly signed up for the Carrie remake
Julianne Moore is to star in the reboot of seventies horror film Carrie.
The Kids Are All Right star was said to be a favourite to play the religious fanatic mother of Carrie, the outcast teen with telekinetic powers, and Deadline reports that she has now closed the deal.
Julianne, 51, will join 15-year-old actress Chloe Moretz, who is taking on the part played by Sissy Spacek in the original film.
Gabriella Wilde has also joined the new adaptation of Stephen King's book as Sue Snell, a girl who initially taunts Carrie but comes to realise the error of her ways.
The original film was a box office success when it was released in 1976 and both Spacek and Piper Laurie, who played Carrie's mum, were nominated for Oscars for their performances.
The remake is being directed by Kimberly Peirce and shooting is due to start next month.
