Taylor Lautner was spotted in New York filming his new movie Tracers.
Lee: Cleopatra feels right for me
Ang Lee has revealed that he would like to direct Angelina Jolie in Cleopatra.
The actress has been attached to star as the Egyptian queen in the biopic, which has been in development for a few years, and the Life Of Pi filmmaker is now interested in making the film.
The Oscar-winning director told The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm about to read the script. It just feels right to me after all the other types of films I've done.
"What does it have in common with any of them? They're all totally different! That's what makes this perfect."
Both James Cameron and Paul Greengrass were said to be in talks to sit in the director's chair before deciding to move on, and David Fincher was also attached until last summer.
Written by The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button's Eric Roth, Cleopatra is based on Stacy Schiff's book Cleopatra: A Life.
Producer Scott Rudin has said that the film focuses on Cleopatra as a great ruler.
"It is a completely revisionist Cleopatra, a much more grown-up sophisticated version. She's not a sex kitten, she's a politician, strategist, warrior," he previously told Deadline.
"It felt like such a blow-the-doors-off-the-hinges idea of how to tell it, impossible to resist. We're pretty close. A lot of directors want to do it, but there is only a handful we'll make it with."
