Kellan Lutz has admitted it is "bittersweet" coming to the end of the Twilight saga.

The actor is getting ready to start promoting the final movie in the five-film franchise, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, but admitted that although it has been a great experience he isn't entirely sorry that his days as vampire Emmett Cullen have come to an end.

Kellan, who is now set to star in a new Tarzan movie, told E! Online: "It's bittersweet. I'm really excited for it and I always enjoy doing the premieres and the press junket.

"We worked our butts off, but it's great to close a chapter on one franchise and hopefully I can start a new franchise with Tarzan."

The 27-year-old will share the screen with Resident Evil: Afterlife's Spencer Locke in Tarzan 3D. He will play the vine-slinging hero in Reinhard Kloos' animated feature, while Spencer will portray his love interest Jane.

Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is due to arrive in cinemas in November.
