Mark Wahlberg is planning to bring The Amory Wars books to the big screen
Mark Wahlberg and his producing partner Stephen Levinson are planning to make a film adaptation of graphic novel series The Amory Wars.
The pair - who have worked together as executive producers on TV series Entourage and Boardwalk Empire and the film Contraband - announced they had acquired the rights to the books by Claudio Sanchez and Evil Ink Comics at Comic-Con, Variety reports.
The Amory Wars is a sci-fi series set in an alternate universe and chronicles the rise of superhuman dictator Wilhelm Ryan, and the one family that could hold the key to freeing the world from his clutches.
Creator Claudio is the lead singer of progressive rock band Coheed And Cambria. He originally created The Amory Wars story as the inspiration for the group's albums.
Mark and Stephen plan to bring the fantasy epic to the big screen as a live action movie.
