Sean Penn is apparently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Secret Life Of Walter Mitty remake.
The Ben Stiller-directed comedy - in which Ben will also take the lead role - will star Bridesmaids actress Kristen Wiig and new Downton Abbey recruit Shirley MacLaine.
Deadline reports that Sean could be joining the cast for a "small but pivotal supporting role".
The story, a remake of the 1947 classic, focuses on a magazine photo manager who embarks on an adventure when a negative goes missing.
The Milk actor has finished filming on mob movie The Gangster Squad and will next be seen playing a washed-up rock star in This Must Be The Place.
