Mickey Rourke could be gearing up for a role in Motor City.
The Oscar-nominated Wrestler star is rumoured to be the latest addition to Albert Hughes' thriller, which has Gerard Butler secured in the starring role, reported Deadline.
The Scottish actor is already on board for the upcoming action flick, which has been written by Chad St John, and will play an ex-prisoner who seeks to hunt down the people responsible for putting him inside. It is not known which part Mickey would take.
Jake Gyllenhaal, Dominic Cooper, Jeremy Renner, Clive Owen, Amber Heard and Gary Oldman had previously been linked to the film but dropped out.
Mickey, who is also rumoured to be making an appearance in the Sin City sequel, titled Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, has completed filming drama Black November with Kim Basinger, and has a number of upcoming roles in films including crime drama Java Heat with Kim Basinger, revenge thriller Marble City alongside Nicolas Cage and action drama The Storm.
