Tom Lipinski to play young Brolin
Josh Brolin stars as an escaped convict in Labour Day
Tom Lipinski is in talks to play a younger version of Josh Brolin in new drama Labour Day.
The young actor - currently starring in US legal TV series Suits - would play young Vietnam war veteran Frank Chambers in flashbacks in the film, Variety reports.
Josh has been cast in the starring role as an older Frank, now an escaped convict who finds shelter with a depressed single mother - played by Kate Winslet - and her teenage son over Labour Day weekend.
Tom will show how young Frank, who returns from home Vietnam and promptly marries his sweetheart, finds that she's no longer the innocent teenage girl he left behind.
The movie, written and directed by Up In The Air filmmaker Jason Reitman and based on Joyce Maynard's novel of the same name, will shoot in 2012 in New England.
