Winstones keep it in the family
Jaime Winstone arrives at a screening for new film Elfie Hopkins at the Vue Cinema in London
It was a family affair as Ray Winstone and his daughter Jaime attended the premiere of their new film.
Jaime plays the title character in Elfie Hopkins - a horror movie about a wannabe detective investigating a mysterious new family who move into her village.
Speaking at the premiere in Leicester Square, central London, Ray admitted making the film was "horrific at times".
But he said he was proud of his daughter's work, saying: "After the initial shock of the first couple of scenes, you realise they are really talented kids and so far advanced of what we were - and what I was especially at that age - and it ups your game a little bit and I'm really proud of her."
Jaime said the film, which grew from a meeting with director Ryan Andrews in 2006, had "been a long time coming".
She said: "My dad is an amazing actor so there were no worries about that side of it.
"It can be a little bit scary when you're working with your dad but it's such an honour that he read the script and loved it and just wanted to do it because he liked the film rather than he was doing me a favour."
Co-star Aneurin Barnard said it was "great" working with the father and daughter team.
He said: "Filming the scenes, I didn't think about it because they have an essence of such professionalism.
"It was more when we finished work that we could see they were daughter and father and see the family and the Winstone crew."
